One of the most beautiful and oldest parts of the city.

I recommend a walk around this place. Beautiful historic buildings. With a lot of old pubs. A beautiful promenade along the Rhine. I get nice impressions from here

I like the place because it is colorful, people of all stripes and all ages. I love places like that. When I have time to enjoy it.

Great place with always different events. There is always a lot going on here. The Christmas market with the ice rink actually takes place at this time. But this year too had to be canceled. However, there is lighting on the trees

A place to stay.

The bus stations are so chaotic. If you do not ask a bunch of people you will not find the right station.

Nice place with many pubs next to it

Very nice, stress-free there by tram, delicious Mexican food at 16 degrees outside and a look at the area.

Is perfect as a tourist point and to linger

Nothing special, a few old-style arhitecture with many overpriced bars and restaurants. Even those do not offer any extraordinary experience. Good meeting point to start exploring the city but not worth staying longer

Tasted wonderful Service is nice

Party mile. Many restaurants with good and tasty food and drinks. Unfortunately, Corona is currently not being taken into account. Little distance, NO guest lists, at least in the restaurants we were in

It was a very pleasant place. Good spot for tourists as there are lots of restaurants nearby. Very close to the RHEIN river, RHEIN bridge and Köln Dom.

Beautiful especially in December with Christmas in the air. The food and drinks are great. Completely awesome.

The place is beautifully decorated for Christmas and although it is really crowded this time of year in the Christmas markets, it's definitely worth fighting the crowd. The atmosphere is jolly and the pricing is pretty fair. There's also an ice skating rink but I dont have much info about it since I didn't get a chance to try it out. It's incredibly to go from one market to another in this town, I was able to walk between all of them.

If you search to spent some time , the perfect weekend will be for sure visiting the Christmas Markets in Cologne! The Markets are beautiful and unique from one to another! Beautiful things, good food, perfect athmosphere!

Great Christmas market here found a few bits but something's way over priced

A major tourist attraction as the former market square is in the old town and close to all the major tourist attractions in Cologne. The square is pretty much dominated by the equestrian sculpture of Friedrich Wilhelm III in the centre of the square, which by the way is magnificent. Like typical European public squares, there’s an array of restaurants and cafes around the square. The square has a lovely old town feel with its cobbled stones and traditional architecture, but still very touristy! The square is also very easy to get to as there’s a tram stop and underground station.

The Heumarkt has an area of 16,400 square meters, making it the second largest square in Cologne after the Neumarkt. The Heumarkt is one of the most important traffic junctions of the city. The pedestrian zone invites you to stroll, the outdoor catering in the numerous restaurants characterizes the streetscape. At the Heumarkt and the Alter Markt, a Christmas market is organized in the run-up to Christmas.

We had a table of 4. Food was really good and well priced. We didn’t have to wait long between the meals. Waiters were so nice and funny.

Really nice place surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants. Great to enjoy a summer day outside.
